Connie's Poetry

Untitled
(dedicated/ inspired by
Angela Chinn, Esther O, Veronica Roh
on June 8, 2001)

The school year has gone by so fast
I just want to make this one moment last
The four of us sit under this special place
Where the breeze blows past our face
With one year down and more to go
We head on in life conquering more than we know

What ever may the world bring me
I ponder at that thought

You can never tell the future or what it's going to be
She answered back to me

But the next chapter in life that quickly follows is all that I can see
Because my curiosity flows deep inside me

So I sit here with the company
Of me and only me
As I ponder at the thought
To what tomorrow's going to be

Tell me something more
Or at least give me a clue
What ever may the world bring me
I ponder at that thought

Always follow your heart
And the rest is up to you
For you are the one who can truly
Make the decision that fit you
Nobody else can take over all that you are
Because everything you ponder across
Is completely up to you

That does not fulfill my question
But I guess that answer will do
For I ponder at this thought
What ever may the world bring me
Which I guess is entirely up to me
That's what she told me

Untitled
(dedicated to all my loved ones and friends)

You will always have a piece of my heart
Wherever you go and always to hold
And in times of need or desperate hope
Think of the days you treasured like gold

Everyday I wake up
And start a brand new day
All that I do in my own special way
No one at all can discourage me
Because my passion my goal
Is all that I see

She's in my dreams
She's all I see
She's everything to me

He understands me
Completely
He's everything a guy can be

Girl's thoughts:
I try to hold my tears back
But it's so hard to do
Because the only thing that's on my mind
Are thoughts of me and you

Guy's thoughts:
I'm sorry that I hurt you
There's no one else to blame
But me and what my heart says:
My feelings aren't the same

Standing near the sea
Longing to be free
Because no one could see
How she really wanted to be

Never going back
To where she called home
Instead
Floating up above
To where angels really roam

In the darkest of the night
She was no where in sight
For he was searching frantically
With all his will and might
From the tallest mountain top
To their favorite sitting spot
For fear now poured into his heart
That from now on they'd be apart

Untitled

I guess it never hit you
Who or what you truly are
Influence so strong I never knew
And finally that I realize
I have this to say to you
Thank you so dearly
You're one friend I could never lose
You'll always be in my heart
Engraved and so closely kept
Dear friend, I love you

Untitled
(For the tragedy of September 11, 2001)

I can still remember the way it happened
Everything flashing in my head
Madness and mayhem all around the world
Some sleeping forever and not even saying good bye
Mourning the death for all those red
Crash and burn all of us fall
Justice will be served someone said

In the dark night
In the early day
Everyday you wake up
Expecting the same
Nothing new
Just a brand new day
Hoping for nothing at all
Then I meet her
And everything changes
She walks this way
And I get a feeling inside
Never saw her in my life
But there's something
About her
I just can't think
She's beautiful
She's like an angel
I fell in love
From the sight of her
Are there such things as
True love
At first sight
I think this may be
Because she spots me
She looks at me
I look at her
Can this be true
I ask myself
I draw a blank
Why do I feel this way
It's so new to me
I've never felt this way before
Seeing her
And loving her
Without even knowing her
Pinch me
I think I'm dreaming
Am I in heaven
This girl
She's a goddess
What do I do
Her eyes like jewels
Her lips to soft
Her walk so lovely
Can this be
I think I'm in love
She's standing there
We're looking at each other
Is this a good sign
What's happening
What am I doing
How do I look
Act cool
I tell myself
Hi she says
Hi I say
Is this a good sign
Never been in love
I noticed you across the room
She says
YES
I scream inside my mind
Me too
You want to go out sometime
I ask
Sure she says
Great
I say
Got to go
Will I see you later
I ask
Sure
See you around
She walks away
A wide grin
Across my face
Lessons in love
I guess that was okay
I just asked her out
My head is screaming with joy
I think I just met
The girl of my dreams
Can this be
We'll just wait and see

She doesn't see how she's changed
There's just something different to me
Now she's swept away with popularity
And I'm the only one who will see
She doesn't know because she's dilled with pride
And that's not the way it used to be
Everyday we grow farther apart
But I guess she'll never see

Under the stars we used to sit here and say
This is the most beautiful place on earth
Couple days ago we were lying in that spot
Both fell asleep dreaming
She never woke up that morning
I guess she's gone to heaven
Dreaming about it in her sleep
Peacefully she fell asleep forever
Spending her last days with me
Someone told me she's up there
Watching over all of us down here
Well if she's up there somewhere
At least she died with a smile on her face

Dreams of Him and Me

I wish to dream
Because when I dream
I dream of him
His touch
His feel
He looks at me the way I wish
We float above
Into the sky
Where everything is gone
Floating in my dream

So give me a chance
Where I can see the boy I long to feel
Just let me dream away
Dream of him and me

The moon glows bright
Above the boy who sleeps tonight
And let me hope
He sees me and he dreams of me
My touch
My feel
I look at him the way he wishes
We float above
Into the sky where everything is gone
Just him and me alone
Floating in his dream

But this is only true
In my dreams when I'm asleep
By my self alone
Dreams of him and me

Performed by Kirsten Dunst
in the "Get Over It" soundtrack)

Dream of Me

Let me sleep
For when I sleep
I dream that you are here
You're mine
And all my fears are left behind
I float
On air
The nightingale sings gentle lullabies
So let me close my eyes
And sleep
A chance to dream
So I can see the face I long to touch
To kiss
But only dreams can bring me this
So let the moon
Shine softly on the boy I long to see
And maybe when he dreams he'll dream of me
I hide beneath the clouds
And whisper to the evening star
They tell me love is only a dream away
A dream away
So let the moon
Shine softly on the boy I long to see
And maybe when he dreams
He'll dream of me

Thinking of You

Everyday I'm lying there
Thinking about you
Whether or not you like me more
Than the day before
Whether or not you're thinking about me
Whenever I think of you
And if it's me you're dreaming about
As I dream for you
How you are constantly in my mind
Amazes me every night
I'll wish upon the brightest star
On this starry night
"I wish I may
I wish I might
Have this wish I wish tonight"
I wish on this glimpse of light
That you I will never part
In each other's minds
For if we are even oceans apart
You will dream of me
Everyday just lying there
Thinking about me
Whether or not I like you more than the day before
To know that I will always
Be thinking of you
On every single night
